Nitinol flexibility

AVAflex is made from nitinol, a unique, super-elastic material made from nickel and titanium. AVAflex allows clinicians to target specific areas within the vertebral body which may avert any need for bipedicular cases. The result is less patient trauma, increased safety and enhanced procedural ease.

Needle design

AVAflex has a blunt needle tip to help reduce risk of coring tissue during needle insertion and redirection. The curved tip means the clinician has exceptional flexibility within the vertebral body. The aperture location ensures cement is injected in an anterior direction.

Compatible with AVAmax radiopaque cement

AVAflex is a general use injection needle. It is compatible with AVAmax radiopaque cement, renowned for its long working time.

Procedural success

AVAflex has been successfully used in a variety of challenging cases. These include vertebra plana and superior end plate with inferior cleft fractures.
